Psychosomatic Therapy Consultation
A Psychosomatic Therapy Consultation brings together Face Reading, Body Reading, and Postural Assessment, while also taking into account breathing patterns, speech, and movement.
This work explores how habitual thinking, emotional patterns, and long-held adaptations shape the physical body over time. These patterns can become embedded within posture, muscle tone, breath, and expression. As they are recognised and felt, the body often becomes more available for change, adaptation, and integration.
Rather than focusing on symptoms alone, this approach supports awareness of how life experiences are held and expressed within the body.
Psychosomatic Therapy may support:
Ongoing stress, tension, or physical discomfort
Recurring pain or bodily symptoms without a clear injury history
Postural or breathing habits linked to long-term holding or adaptation
Repeating emotional or relational patterns
Greater understanding of how health and wellbeing are influenced by life experiences
Health, the Body, and Psychosomatic Insight
Many people seek Psychosomatic Consultation during periods of health challenge, ongoing discomfort, or when symptoms persist without clear answers.
While this work does not diagnose or treat medical conditions, it offers reflective insight into how emotional patterns, long-held adaptations, stress responses, and life experiences may be influencing the body’s responses over time.
Through whole-body observation and psychosomatic awareness, the consultation may explore how health-related experiences are shaped by posture, breath, muscle tone, nervous system responses, and habitual ways of holding or bracing. This process supports awareness and understanding rather than diagnosis and is intended to complement and not replace appropriate medical or therapeutic care.
What to Expect
Prior to your Initial Consultation, photographs will be requested, along with a questionnaire to complete. The images required will depend on whether your session is online or face-to-face.
The consultation includes a Face Reading and a Body Mind Assessment, exploring posture, structure, left–right side differences, and core energetic organisation. Together, these observations guide awareness toward habitual attitudes, emotional responses, and behavioural patterns as they are reflected in the tissues and body organisation.
You will be offered reflective tools and simple practices that may be integrated into daily life to support awareness, regulation, and ongoing self-connection.
Areas That May Be Explored
Depending on your intentions for the session, we may explore:
- How emotional patterns and life experiences are reflected in posture, breath, and movement
- Areas of tension, holding, or adaptation within the body
- Stress responses and nervous system patterns influencing how you feel and function
- Repeating emotional, behavioural, or relational responses as they are expressed physically
- Psychosomatic themes that may be influencing your experience of health or wellbeing (reflective, non-diagnostic)
- How the body has adapted over time to protect, compensate, or cope
- Where greater regulation, balance, or self-support may be beneficial
This consultation is guided by your needs. You are welcome to bring specific themes, questions, or areas of focus, or to allow the session to unfold organically.
This work is not about fixing or correcting the body. It is an invitation to listen more closely, build understanding, and create space for choice through embodied awareness.
For some, this process brings clarity to long-held physical or emotional patterns. For others, it offers a new way of relating to the body with curiosity rather than judgement. In all cases, it supports a more informed, compassionate, and connected relationship with yourself.
Ongoing Standard Consultations:
These sessions provide continued support and integration, and may include:
- 60 minutes – Client check-in followed by body-based or therapeutic work (Emotional Release Trigger Point Massage, reiki, or therapy-based consultation)
- 90 minutes – 30-minute therapy consultation followed by 60 minutes of body-based work (massage or reiki)
For online clients, guided body-based meditations and awareness practices are available.
Psychosomatic Therapy sessions are your time, and you are encouraged to direct the focus according to what feels most relevant for you. In some cases, additional sessions or referrals may be recommended.
To gain the most benefit from this work, active participation and willingness to engage with awareness-based processes are encouraged.
All sessions and consultations are reflective and educational in nature. They support insight, awareness, and understanding through a psychosomatic perspective and do not involve diagnosis, treatment, or medical advice. This work does not replace medical, psychological, or therapeutic care, and clients are encouraged to seek appropriate professional support for any health or mental health concerns.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to choose a specific type of session each time?
No. After your initial consultation, sessions are guided by what feels most relevant for you. The focus may shift over time as your needs change, without the need to re-book different session types.
What is the difference between Mentoring, Psychosomatic Face Reading, and Psychosomatic Therapy in ongoing sessions?
The distinction lies less in technique and more in emphasis. Some sessions may lean more toward reflective mentoring, others toward body-based or therapeutic processes. The work evolves naturally, rather than being fixed to a single modality.
Are block sessions available?
Block sessions are available for clients engaged in ongoing Psychosomatic Mentoring. These are offered once an initial session has taken place and a clearer sense of direction has been established.
Block options are optional and can be discussed if this pathway feels supportive for you.
