Psychosomatic Conversations: Beyond the Symptom – Responding and Reframing (Part 3 of 3)
December 2025
Welcome to Psychosomatic Conversations – our monthly Zoom session where we explore how the body reflects the mind and emotions through the lens of Psychosomatic Therapy.
This session is Part 3 of our 3-part series: Is it All in My Head?
A 3-part exploration of the mind-body connection
Session 3 Theme: Beyond the Symptom – Reframing and Responding
In this final session of the series, Linda Thackray, Christy Foster and Sean Jago invite you to pause, soften and listen beneath the symptom. The conversation focuses on how physical sensations reflect emotional patterns, boundaries and internal conflicts, and how we can change the way we respond once symptoms arise.
Through guided meditations, breathwork and body awareness practices, this session offers simple nervous system tools to reduce activation, reframe meaning, and respond with greater awareness and choice. There is a strong emphasis on support, grounding and compassion, particularly during the heightened pace of the festive season.
Many people question whether symptoms linked to stress or emotions are ‘just psychological’ or physically real. Across this 3-part series, we explore what triggers psychosomatic symptoms, how the body responds, and how shifting our relationship with symptoms can support healing and self-understanding.
