Psychosomatic Conversations: Bodywork & Integration Processes, Self-Reflection, Q & A
March 2026
In this month’s conversation with Christy, Sean and Linda, the focus is on body integration and emotional release techniques. Christy led the session with Linda and Sean as co-facilitators, exploring how soft tissue in the body holds emotional responses and how bodywork can help release tension that leads to pain and distortion.
The session included guided breathing exercises led by Christy, followed by specific movement and tension-release exercises for shoulders (led by Sean) and facial/jaw tension (led by Linda). Participants shared their experiences, with Cynthia noting liberation from tension she didn’t realize she was holding, and Erin describing how the exercises helped her body “come back online.”
The facilitators emphasized the importance of slowness in the integration process and announced that the next series would focus on remaining present in the body during global unrest.
